You’ll make 5 Cookies in just 4 hours and leave with a lovely Christmas tin full of your creations. A traditional Christmas punch or mulled wine and a savory snack are included. The following cookies are on the menu:
Vanillekipferl the all-time favorite that everybody’s mama makes best. These small, vanilla-flavored crescent cookies are shaped with a gentle curve and dusted liberally with vanilla-scented powdered sugar before being squirreled away to let the vanilla permeate the cookies for a few days or longer. They only get better!
Rumkugeln – Cake, soaked in Austria’s own unique rum, is formed by hand into balls and then dusted in cocoa-flavored powdered sugar. They wouldn’t be left out of any respectable Christmas cookie platter.
Zimtsterne A cinnamon flavored and star shaped cookie glazed with a special white icing which forms a crisp, shiny layer on top.
Bauernbrötchen A simple and elegant chocolate and hazelnut cookie that forms appealing dark brown and white cracks as it bakes.
And of course, Linzeraugen!! Did that cookie just wink at me?? These jam-filled sandwich cookies are called “eyes of Linz” and are dusted liberally with powdered sugar but have “eyes” to show off the colorful jam. They look so pretty on a Christmas platter and irresistibly tempt you to look even closer – with your mouth!
