It’s not too early to start planning for the holidays. In fact, many traditional cookies get better with aging a week or longer. The texture will improve and the flavor of the nuts and vanilla and rum will intensify. So don’t be afraid to make cookies any time during the season. If you plan to make them more than a week in advance, just seal them tightly and refrigerate!
