NASCHMARKT WALK & VIENNESE MENU COOKING CLASS
June 5 at 16:00 - 21:0099€
Join us for a stroll through Vienna’s most popular market, the Naschmarkt! After our tour, where you will also have time for tastings and shopping, we will prepare Viennese Schnitzel and Apple Strudel from scratch in a nearby cooking studio.
Program for our Naschmarkt walk and cooking class
The Naschmarkt walk starts at 4pm and takes about 1h. Our culinary instructor tells about the history of the market and why it is so special. We go to a few older and more traditional market stands who sell Austrian products, as well as to the stands which have a more Eastern-European flair. The tour includes tastings of cheese, ham, wine etc. and also time for making purchases.
Afterwards, we start with our cookery class, which will take about 2.5-3hrs, including dinner.
On the menu: Bretzel from scratch ~ Viennese Schnitzel from veal with parsley potatoes ~ Apple Strudel with homemade dough
Learn how to prepare, bread and fry the traditional Viennese Schnitzel like a pro. We will also stretch out homemade Strudel dough, which is not only lots of fun but also a very good relaxing technique. Our culinary instructors share their family recipes and grannies’ secret cooking tipps with you and tell you more about the history of our cuisine.
After the hands-on cookery class, we will enjoy our meal together – Viennese charm and Gemütlichkeit included 😉
Drinks are included in the price: there will be served a welcome drink, water and juice. A glass of wine or beer will be served for dinner and coffee for dessert.
Please note: If there are only 6 participants or less, the cooking class after the Naschmarkt walk will take place in the private apartment of our culinary instructor. If this should be the case, we will inform you 1 week before the class via email and text message.
